The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications at the moment are open and can close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the subsequent requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house which has a combined gross household income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 read more for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the right Id Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected click here of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or read more plan to research at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
